CDM Gear Improved Mossberg Shotgun Safety

CDM Gear posted a picture on their Facebook page of their improved safety for Mossberg shotguns. One of the great features of Mossberg shotguns is their ambidextrous safety, it’s one of the better shotgun safeties out there. It’s not perfect however, many shooters find that they still have to break their grip on the shotgun to manipulate the safety. This isn’t the first attempt at improving the safety on the Mossberg 500 shotguns, check out our past post on improving the Mossberg shotgun safety.

CDM Gear who is known for ther various shotgun accessories has an improved Mossberg shotgun safety in the works. Their new safety moves the switch around an inch back and is wider for better control, CDM Gear claims you’ll actually be able to manipulate the safety without breaking your grip or finger position and you’ll still be able to visually check for the red safety indicator to see what condition your shotgun is in. So far CDM Gear has tested their new and improved safety on a Mossberg 500 with a pistol grip, a Mossberg 590A1 with speed feed stock and a 930SPX with no issues. No word yet on pricing or a release date.
