.50 Cal Razors… From The Mighty Pen Company

In yet another “what can I add a piece of brass to, to make it cool” product,” The Mighty Pen Company has expanded its brass oriented product line to include .50 cal razors. Offered in two versions: a double-edge straight razor, and a Gillette Mach 3 adapter, the .50 Caliber BMG is ready for ones Big Manly Goatee.

Not to leave women from the fray, there is a women’s version with the brass pink cerakoted and compatible with Venus razors.

In all seriousness, I love the marketing shtick. I mean, its appealing blatantly to one’s tactical side:

A military man is required to always be clean shaven.  Let us help here at the MIGHTY PEN co by making your shaving experience one where you can feel secure in knowing you have the right ammunition for the job.

Which means it appeals to me… While the pink cerakoted version is not for me, I do use Mach 3 razors, so I have already forwarded my wife this as a birthday gift. Both the razor versions retail for $59.95.

I also asked her for the companion 20mm Badger Hair Shaving Brush (also $59.95). If I am going to go all shaving tactical, might as well get the cream brush too. That said, my latent US Marine training will demand that I keep the brass polished. Good thing I STILL have a can of Brass-O…

    Still no 0.5mm mechanical pencil?

    :/

Hm, seems impractical. Maybe it’s a luxury item above my humble, earthy sensibilities. I’d wonder if humidity, facial scrub or something will eat the brass, cause it to leave residue. Also, how well is the cavity sealed? I tried a gilette Slime-Swab 5000 with deluxe liquid-retaining/dribbling grip a while back, used twice, went with something simpler.

Put slant head on it and I’m there.

I just want a cheap blade that won’t cut the hell out of my tender sexy face. Mach 3’s do the trick for me (but not the disposable blue-handle ones, those things are *NOT* the real mach3 blades that they use on the regular mach3 cartridges)

I just stick with my safety razor. Give great shaved and razors are cheap as hell.

They really whiffed on this one by making it Mach 3 and not a Fusion.
