Rudolph Optics Quad Shooting Sticks

    Quad Sticks

Without a doubt, having a rest can improve one’s accuracy when shooting a rifle. Even an improvised rest, such as your backpack, can make a significant difference. That’s one of the reasons why shooting sticks are popular with many long range hunters and others looking to increase accuracy in the field.

Rudolph Optics is now selling Quad Shooting Sticks. These new shooting sticks support a rifle in the front and the rear to offer a fairly stable platform while still being very portable. In fact, the sticks fold up and can be used as a walking stick. The poles are made of aluminum.

When deployed, the sticks can be used as a bipod – supporting the front of the rifle alone, or split into the quad configuration to support both front and rear.

There are two versions of the Quad Shooting Sticks being sold. One is short and one is long. The short sticks measure 36″ in length and weigh 2.5 pounds. They are adjustable and designed for shooting from a seated or kneeling position. They may also serve well for young children learning to shoot. These carry a suggested retail price of $79.99.

The taller version of the sticks measures 67″ long and weighs 4 pounds. Also adjustable, these will work for many people who want to shoot from a standing position. These retail at $104.99.

There are, of course, other styles of shooting sticks such as this tripod from African Sporting Creations. Both appear to be better than this.
