[SHOT 2016] Kinetic Development Group

At SHOT show this year, if I had to pick one company that had the best accessories for the FN SCAR platform, hands down, it would be Kinetic Development Group.  Aside from accessories for the FN SCAR platform, Kinetic Development Group also makes some neat accessories for the Ar-15 platform as well as a growing suite of M-LOK based rail accessories.

SCAR Talon 45/90 Ambidextrous Safety. This is a new product for Kinetic Development Group

Kinetic Development Groups “Scarging Handle”. The Scarging Handle is ambidextrous.

In my opinion the most innovative products from Kinetic Development Group were the KINECT M-LOK mounts. These mounts attach by squeezing the ends of the mount. Once on a rail, there was absolutely no movement. Perfect for quickly attaching accessories.

KINECT M-LOK mount. These mounts are attached by squeezing the tabs at the end of the rail. Very secure fit.

SIDELOK Optic Mount. These mounts attach by a patented cam system that locks the mount to the rail. The cam system negates the need for tools, levers or knobs. There was absolutely no wiggle. The cam system is activated by pushing the release button. In this picture the release button is under the front lens of the pictured Aimpoint sight.

Kinetic Development Group has some very innovative products. Up until SHOT, I was not aware that Kinetic Development Group was making optic mounts as well as M-LOK rails. What Kinetic Development Group is doing with the M-LOK system is pretty neat. I look forward to seeing what this company does in the future.

Sucks they blatantly ripped their name off from KRG, but cool products I guess?

    • Thomas Gomez

I have no dog in this fight, nor any emotional attachment to KRG, but there are only so many ways to name a company in this industry.

I believe every variation of “tactical” is now taken…

        • Johnny Sasaki

Is there a Tick Tactical yet?

          • Thomas Gomez

            Tick Tactical! Ha ha ha!

Tic-Tactical Threat Solutions, for when you do not want the enemy to detect your in-the-field halitosis while you’re operating.

          • Hensley Beuron Garlington

LOL. Go even shorter, Tic#Tac. With a crosshair logo styled like an O with X in it and the catchphrase: “Crossing off bad guys since 2016”
I think it is kid friendly and will get lots of free publicity.
And advocate for head shots with two follow-up rounds to the chest. You know, like “three in a row”! And always have a buy three, get one free deal. Possibilities are endless!

Think if I ever start a gun company I’m gonna name it Desk Jockey Development

The name and design for that selector are from an AXTS product. I hope that’s licensed.

    • Thomas Gomez

      I believe it is.

    • The following is from a recent press release:

“KDG is happy to announce our partnership with AXTS Weapon Systems of Salem Oregon!
AXTS has made a name for itself with it’s popular Raptor charging
handle and MI-T556 carbine, as well as the Talon safety for the AR-15.
The new Talon Ambidextrous 45/90 Safety Selector is one of the most easy
to install, user friendly safeties on the market, and a natural choice
for the FNH SCAR series of rifle. AXTS will be selling the SCAR edition
of their Talon exclusively through KDG, effective immediately!”
