MTM Quick Rest

DSCF3119

We’ve all been there: at the range or out at our favorite shooting spot, and in need of a rest for our rifle. Although there are quite a few out there of varying sizes, weights, and fillings, most have one thing in common: they’re heavy – or at least not exactly light. One of the new products out this year from MTM is a very lightweight rifle rest they’re calling the Quick Rest.

The Quick Rest is manufactured from red plastic. It’s hollow but durable and multiple Quick Rests can even be stacked for easier storage or transport. A textured top helps keep the barrel of your rifle from slipping. This is so new it isn’t on their website yet and the MSRP wasn’t listed. But it is definitely something many shooters can benefit from. It also seems many ranges could benefit from these as a more cost-effective and easily stored answer to the rest issue.

Neat. There are better rests, but simplicity and light weight have something to be said for them.

Just my 2¢ it’s not good to rest a barrel on any rest, even if it is non slip.

I have one of their Predator rests. It is lightweight and gets the job done. I use it to sight my rifle in before hunting season.
