Patrick, see how high your deltoids are coming up, that you’re squeezing your trapezius tight? Relax a little.

You’re not a small guy, so the M9 shouldn’t be rocking your down to your feet.

Focus on bringing the gun to your eyes, never eyes to the gun.

    Just Fwiw.

I’d add that you need to either grow your beard out bushier, or shave it to a goatee (and clean-shave your head). Trimmed full beard is not operator.

    • Core

      Good advice.

  • Lance

Looks more modular, and has a modular grip for it.

  • BattleshipGrey

This is really high on my want-but-can’t-justify list

  • Nick Wong

I still can’t find a decently priced one of these… They’re just not reaching distributors yet…

    • BattleshipGrey

What prices have you been seeing?

      • Nick Wong

All over $1k. MSRP is $1099 but prices on Gunbroker and elsewhere are all up at around that price before shipping/tax/transfer/etc. I see ArmsUnlimited has it for cheaper but I don’t trust them (too much bad rep from other sites)

        • BattleshipGrey

I think I read that they were doing a limited run (hopefully I read wrong or Beretta changes that), but don’t quote me on it. A number of guys at ARFcom have posted pics of their new M9A3’s but I don’t know if they preordered or how much they paid. Hopefully it’s just a distribution problem like you say.

          • Nick Wong

From what I read it’s full on distribution but I haven’t seen diddly out there in terms of supply. All of my local FFLs/shops still can’t get it.

          • BattleshipGrey

That sucks. Good luck in your search.

  • You guys are nailing it with post frequency!!!!

    Good job!

  • Mystick

How long until that coating is worn off the barrel?

  • schizuki

Minus -1000 for the Pats hoodie.

    • I’m not in the video. Thats a beretta rep.

      • schizuki

        Well, THAT’S a relief.

My question is how different is the grip? I have only ever handled a normal 92FS in a gun shop, but found it bulky and the trigger placement to be weird and awkward for my hand, which I thought was odd considering how I don’t have a problem with the DA/SA trigger of a S&W 5906 or Makarov. I wanted to like it, but couldn’t…

    • TheMaskedMan

I have small hands and the Vertec (the same grip used on the A3) is a perfect fit for me. The only down side is that the stock trigger is terrible. Good gun, but you should expect some trigger work.

  • chris lynch

The M9 is a good but generally boring pistol. This makes it somewhat exciting again, if for nothing other than just how (tacti)cool it is. I really think Beretta hasn’t done anything exciting in a long while. This is a 2015/16 rework of a what, 50 year old pistol?

  • Steve_7

Is that replacement grip a regular shaped grip, because I can’t stand the Vertec grip? I have big hands.

  • Core

It has a much better feel? Did they rework the trigger? I always liked the trigger because it has very little reset. It’s also easy to shoot the trigger in and work it if you have the experience. I did a custom build on a M9 and by the time I worked everything the way I wanted it, the trigger came into its own. I’m not a fan of too light trigger on a duty gun so I usually just polish the contact surfaces and don’t mess with geometry and springs.
