Adams Arms’ VooDoo Innovations Releases Glock Barrel

VooDoo Innovations, part of the Adams Arms’ family, has announced the release of their first Glock Barrel, a Glock 17 model ready for both Gen 3 and Gen 4 handguns. Released to an already crowded market, the VDI barrel sets itself apart by loading up with specifications and features.

The barrel itself “features a SAAMI spec 9mm Match chambering” along with “match grade” rifling to accept any 9mm bullet, including cast rounds. The barrel itself if LifeCoat finished (Melonite & PVD which we liked in a review of their 5.45 upper) and features a 1/2×28 threading for immediate suppressor usage. The barrel is machined from 416-R stainless and is set at “tighter fitment tolerances to increase accuracy potential without the need of gunsmith fit.”

Aside from the specs, the barrel features a novel chamber area with a few extra cuts to decrease the barrels weight and increase the aesthetic appeal. The cuts nicely match the upcoming Adams Arms Glock slides which were previewed at the NASGW (sorry, no photos!). The slides will feature matching machining cuts and the LifeCoat coating typical to VooDoo (like their SF-308 piston rifle)

At the time of this writing, the barrels are on sale for $199 off a listed retail price of $224.99. The barrel includes the VDI threaded protector which features wrench flats so it can be mounted for everyday carry, if needed.
