Wilson Combat continues to expand from their core offerings of 1911 handguns with their latest offering, a rimfire suppressor dubbed the WCR-22. The new can is designed for use with both handguns and rifles.

The focus of the can was on reducing weight, coming in at just 4.2 ounces for a 6″ can. The outer tube is manufactured from titanium with the baffles coming from 7075 aluminum. To avoid any mis-match in metal types, the 1/2×28″ threads are a 416 stainless. The outside is finished in Wilson’s Armor-Tuff available in five colors available at launch.

Wilson Combat is rating the can as “full auto” for most rimfire calibers including the .22 magnum off of a short barrel. According to Wilson Combat, “This hard-use rimfire suppressor sports impressive noise reduction using subsonic, standard and high velocity .22 rimfire ammunition due to its unique solid baffle design.” Further, they tout its “impressive long term durability”, but no word is given to how the can will last longer than similar offerings.

Those interested can pick one up for $325, a special introductory price. It is available direct from Wilson Combat’s website and the cans are in-stock and ready to ship. The WCR-22 includes the can and wrench for removing the baffle core for cleaning.

No word if the suppressor qualifies for the Wilson Combat Finance Program.
