CORE15 in 6.5 Grendel

    Core Grendel

    Core Rifle Systems of Ocala, Florida announced the introduction of a line of 6.5 Grendel rifles for 2016. The caliber will be represented in the company’s CORE15 Tac and CORE15 Hardcore lines.

    The Tac 6.5 Grendel will have an 18″ or 20″ government profile barrel with a 1″8″ twist and rifle length gas system. Additional features include:

    • forged 7075-T6 lower with beveled magwell and pictogram safety markings
    • forged 7075-T6 upper with Picatinny rail
    • Type III, Class III hard coat anodized finish
    • CMC single stage (3.5 pound) trigger (both flat and curved available)
    • machined aluminum KeyMod rail
    • Magpul MOE stock
    • Magpul MOE pistol grip
    • low profile gas block
    • Lantac Dragon muzzle brake

    Core Grendel

    The Hardcore rifles will come in four variations with a range of upgraded aspects. These range in price from $2,499 to $5,599. Some of these upgraded rifles have:

    • Cerakote finishes
    • Nickel Boron coated bolt carrier
    • ambidextrous safeties
    • CMC two stage triggers
    • Magpul UBR stocks
    • Leupold 3-18×40 scope
    • Wolf buffer springs
    • carrying cases and cleaning kits

    Introduced in November of 2014, the Hardcore line of rifles is a relatively new addition to the company’s catalog. In addition to building rifles, the company also builds AR-style pistols plus barrels and uppers for the AR-15 rifle. Core Rifle Systems also manufactures ammunition.
