Rainier Arms Back-Up Iron Sights

Rainier Arms has been aggressively expanding from being a high-end parts reseller to also selling parts of their own design (though typically made under private label). The latest product to the fore is their Rainier Arms Backup-sights, which are a set of fully machined ultra-low profile back-up iron sights designed for the high-end enthusiast.

The new sights are extremely low profile while managing to keep some practical features (unlike the Leitner-Wise utlra-low profile sights, which set a new record are true “low profile”). The sights are fully adjustable for windage and elevation, but only windage can be done on-the-fly.

The front sight is compatible with all standard M-16 & AR-15 front sight posts and is flanked by towers to protect the post. The rear side has a nifty stowage position for a peep sight, under the main battle sight. Both sights are finished black, with Rainier stating they are ready for maritime environments.

Pricing on the Rainier Arms Back Up Iron Sights is not for the faint of heart or wallet. The set retails for $249.95 and is available direct from Rainier Arms. From another perspective, pricing is not bad for for something made in Germany. Sorry, but not multi-axis function like the TUOR sights (which are incidentally more expensive)
