POTD: Palmetto State Armory AR15

cliffspot writes about his much modifiedĀ Palmetto State Armory AR-15 …

My PSA AR15. Magpul STR stock, PSA H buffer, Wolff extra power spring, MATECH rear sight, Bushnell AR 3×12 scope or Eotech 512 optics. PSA nickel boron BCG, B5 grip, Battle Arms mag release, Strike industries dust cover, Strike Ind take down pins, PSA light profile 16 inch chrome lined mid length upper, UTG mid drop in hand guard, YHM flip up front sight, Strike industries Sierra Comp.

I originally had an ACT trigger with the JP yellow springs….got a 3 pound trigger. Then the Rock River 2 stage match triggers went on sale…this is the second one I installed and I love it! I put a KNS .052 round dot sight post in the front sight. Many ROs and other shooters at the ranges I shoot at have commented how the gun doesn’t move when I shoot it! So easy to produce hits on the half man metal silhouette center mass all day long with irons or my Eotech.

So easy to shoot, just over 7 pounds so it’s a breeze to carry! Am considering some retrofits to lighten it up a bit…

Thanks Cliff.

Why is there a different gun in the first picture than in the second?

    • Paladin

Same rifle from the looks of it. 1st pic has bipod and scope attached, and the front sight flipped down.

      • anon

        different brake, too.

    • Cliff Spirit

Same gun. Just the top pic is with a scope and bipod. And I changed the
muzzle device..top is a YHM Phantom…works ok…switched to the Strike
Sierra Comp. You can only find the Sierra on Ebay now. For the price
      can’t be beat.

Palmetto State Armory makes outstanding AR-15’s. Of course, they have contracted with neighbor FN USA to make their barrels, so that is a significant boost to quality and accuracy.

  • Cliff Spirit

Oh yeah, the half man target is at 200 yds!

You can easily put together a reasonable quality PSA AR-308 for under $800
