Weatherby Announces New Mark V Accumark

markv_accumark

Weather has announced the latest version of its Accumark line, the Mark V. The new rifle is a continuous improvement on the Accumark touting “upgraded features.” In this case, upgraded features can take a pedestrian rifle and if done correctly, can make it remarkable. Weatherby states the upgrades include “A more comfortable stock. A crisper trigger. A Hand Honed barrel.”

The stock features slimmer features including stock, forearm, and “sharper lines” and “more distinctive lines and contours.” The included LXXTM trigger is fully adjustable down to a hair at 2.5 lbs break. Rifles will feature a sub-MOA gurantee from teh hand-honed and hand-lapped barrels using a 3 shot group (Author’s opinion: 3 is easy to do and is chosen due to variability in factory ammo. Make it 10 shots and I will call it impressive).

Retail is pegged at $2,300 and will begin shipping in November this year (in other words, its shipping now or very very very soon). Calibers include almost all full-power cartridges and up to .338 and other magnum rounds.

Weatherby® Introduces The New Mark V® Accumark

Paso Robles, CA – Introducing the New Mark V® Accumark®, legendary accuracy with upgraded features.

“We’ve taken the unbelievable performance that the Accumark® is so well known for and added all the features that a precision shooter wants,” said Adam Weatherby, Executive Vice President and COO. “A more comfortable stock. A crisper trigger. A Hand Honed barrel. This is the perfect example of what a precision rifle can, and should be.”

The New Mark V® Accumark® stock has been designed with a slimmer forearm and sharper, more distinctive lines and contours. The grip diameter has been reduced, a slight right-hand palm swell has been added, and overall weight decreased. These refinements provide better fit and feel for a wider range of shooters. The lighter weight results in increased comfort, control, quicker to the shoulder mounting, and faster target acquisition.

The new Weatherby® LXXTM Trigger increases performance and shooter accuracy. The trigger’s surfaces are precision ground, polished, and overall tolerances refined. A new, wider trigger face boosts trigger-to-finger contact for a more consistent and comfortable pull. Adjustable down to 2.5 lbs., the new Weatherby® LXXTM Trigger will amaze you with every single round fired.

The New Mark V® Accumark® comes with a SUB-MOA accuracy guarantee (3-shot group measuring .99″ or less at 100 yards). Its hand-lapped barrel ensures that the bullet’s flight path will be true and consistent. Now, no matter where you take your New Mark V® Accumark® rifle, you can trust every shot will be right on the money – guaranteed.

If you are looking for that extra assurance and proof that your New Mark V® Accumark® is as accurate as promised, we also offer it in a Range Certified (RC) model. Your Accumark® RC will come with a data sheet from our Oehler Ballistic Imaging System that shows actual 3-shot group size and exact ammunition used to achieve it. The data sheet will also be signed and certified by Ed or Adam Weatherby, and the rifle will feature a customized floor plate with the engraved Range Certified logo.

It’s all about enhancing the shooter experience. The New Mark V® Accumark® has been designed to maximize fit, feel, and performance, making it one of the best rifles on the planet.
The New Mark V® Accumark® and Accumark® RC will begin shipping November 2015 with an MSRP starting at $2,300. Visit your local authorized Weatherby® dealer to order yours today.
