Ravenwood RW-AR22

Ravenwood stock

Ravenwood International is now offering an AR-style chassis for the Ruger 10/22 rifle. Called the RW-AR22, the chassis is made of polymer and aluminum, made in the United States of America and is backed by a lifetime warranty.

The chassis works with any of the standard 10 to 25 round Ruger magazines. Ravenwood designed the buttstock to be adjustable, but with a positive locking system that is supposed to eliminate horizontal and vertical movement that is often found in a typical M4-style stock.

If you are not familiar with Ravenwood, don’t worry. The company has worked primarily behind the scenes by providing private label accessories and products. However, the company is now marketing their products directly to consumers. At this week’s NASGW Expo, the company will offer 20 products, with dozens more becoming available throughout the rest of 2015 and into 2016.

It is not believed that the company will have its own mercenary division employed by either FEMA or Jennings & Rall.

Phil Note: We have one of these for testing by James R.

    Sounds familiar…

    Jennings & Rall?

  • Plumbiphilious

I wish there were some way to make BX-25’s NOT look skinny and silly on most stocks.

    • iksnilol

Get an airsoft AR or AK mag (or whatevs), then hollow it out and use epoxy to put the BX-25 inside.

Probably will need to cut the top as well.

Can someone please make a bullpup kit for the 10/22. Other then HTA and RJF.

    • Martin Grรธnsdal

red jackets ZK22 – “neva been don befo”

      • HenryV

My favourite RJ “neva been don befo” was the AK sniper rifle.

        Awful programme, sorry program. ๐Ÿ™‚

        • iksnilol

Well, to be fair to them it wasn’t bad. I mean, a Saiga/Vepr thingy in 308 that can without problem hit a man size target at 1000 yards isn’t shabby.

          • HenryV

I have no problem with AK type weapons in bigger calibres. It was just that they were already AK types in bigger calibres before the show. He didn’t invent or come up with anything. It was all rubbish.

  • Jared Duet

    Same as the ATI Taclite?

    • Ravenwood

Hey Jared, please see our comment above about how this design was previously private labeled.

  • The real issue with these 10/22 chassises (chassi?) is how good/bad the field strip is. For example, the Archangel 10/22 kit is not bad from a functionality perspective, but is basically impossible to field strip in a sane amount of time.

    • RocketScientist

just FYI, plural of chassis would be chassis. Spelled the same, but pronounced differently (singular – chass-ee, plural – chass-eez). You can thank the french influence on our language for that bit of nonsense.

    • Michel_T

I like the RB Precision Evolution stock the best…

  • floppyscience

Do any of those AR controls (bolt catch, safety, forward assist) actually function? Or is this another one of those shells where they half-ass some ugly molded bits to somewhat resemble what one might find on an AR?

    • Cymond

You already know the answer. After all, it’s still a 10/22.

  • HenryV

Does anybody make a chassis for the 10/22 like the MDT LSS where you can bolt on AR grips and stocks etc.?

Saying that Boyds won’t export their laminate stock so perhaps I don’t care. ๐Ÿ™

    • Drew Coleman

Take a look at Nordic Components. I think they make the stuff for Ruger’s SR22 rifle.

      • HenryV

        Thanks. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • maarten

MDT is making an LSS for the 10/22. Should be out early 2016

      • HenryV

I shall look that up thanks. I think it is good chassis and good value too. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • that guy

Looks like they copied the ATI AR-22 for the most part. Not a company I would ever support.

    • Ravenwood

This product was designed by us at Ravenwood, then private labeled and produced/sold by ATI. However, the new Takedown version, and all Ravenwood designed products moving forward, will be sold under our RW brand name alone. No more private labeling! Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the interest.

  • notalima

    Wooo. Jericho!

  • Phillip Cooper

Any news on pricing? I am not seeing this anywhere…

  • Bill

Ruger ought to take a business model from Colt and just sell a barreled action, or the action alone, for people who want to build their own 10/22. 99.99% of this stuff doesn’t appeal to me personally, but I’d hate to buy a rifle and throw a bunch of it away after I’ve modded it the way I want.

    • iksnilol

They might as well just sell the receiver alone.

  • dshield55

    • Ravenwood

$179.99 for the entire kit, thanks for the interest!
