Updated Beretta Pico

Beretta Pico

Beretta announced the company updated the tiny Pico pistol. The updated gun uses redesigned internals, including new spring choices, to reduce the trigger pull weight and the amount of force needed to operate the slide. According to the company, both things were accomplished without negatively impacting the reliability of the pistol.

The company also announced a new line of accessories for the pistol. The Pico uses the same type of modular chassis system that is used in the Nano. This allows the serial numbered part to swap easily between frames for a fast change of color or even size.

New frames will be available in different colors, plus versions with built-in LaserMax aiming lasers and white lights.

Sounds good as long as they dont put any cilantro in it.

    • manBear

I like a little cilantro in my pico … just a skosh though

      • TheNotoriousIUD

Not me, if theres even a hint im out.

        • Andrew

Who doesn’t put cilantro in pico? I think something called “tomatoes and onions” is what you seek.

  • ostiariusalpha

There’s no curve. I like mine curvy.

    Beretta No Pico…

      • Edeco

        ummm…

      • Anonymoose

About what? Satan’s Porno Collection? Let’s just say that I’ve seen it enough times that it no longer phases me.

    • DW

      YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WTF????

  • Glenn Bellamy

It’s possible the redesign stems from a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Steyr against Beretta last month on the prior design of this model. Or not.

  • AC11

Beretta updated the Pico without telling me first? De gallo of them!!!!!

  • floppyscience

Did they upgrade the firing pin yet? Or are they ignoring all of breakages for now? My brother bought one of these and the FP broke after dry firing maybe 12 times over two weeks. When he called Beretta and said he broke the FP they didn’t ask any questions, just sent out a new one for free. There are also a lot of reports of the FPs breaking after 100-200 rounds of live fire.

Until that’s addressed you can count me out.

    • Nicks87

Haven’t heard of any breakages on the Pico but, on a co-worker’s nano, the firing pin gets so gummed up with debris it just quits working. It has happened twice now and only after 100 or so rounds. The scary thing is he still has the nano and carries it everyday.

      • billyoblivion

As long as he cleans it every 99 rounds, and doesn’t get in a running gun battle he’s good.

    • Martin Frank

Yes they are fixed, the new one they sent your brother is the new type.

Damnit Beretta, call it the Pico. I can’t take it seriously after 26 seconds in when you just start calling it Pico instead of the Pico. Saying that I can now take full advantage of Pico just sounds dirty and makes me giggle.

    • nobody

Also that video was 69 seconds, not 60 seconds.

      • Xtorin O’hern

are you making a freaking Boku No Pico reference on a firearms site? if so i don’t blame you because this things name instantly made me think of that

  • Smitty Werbenjagermanjensen

The Pico is so small and petite. Looks like it could get into ones pants quite easily.

    • Anonymoose

      You stop that!

    • Burst

      Much giggling was had.

  • Matt L.

Messed with a Pico once. Impressively tiny, but I figured there were some serious performance/reliability compromises made to get to that point. Maybe I wasn’t so wrong about that.

Also, I think this may be shaping up to be the weirdest comments section in TFB history.

      >Also, I think this may be shaping up to be the weirdest comments section in TFB history.
Just think if one of the editors was to acknowledge it.

      • Matt L.

They need to preserve it in all of its glory.

  • Pete

Where can you get the new spring packs?
