Big 3 East: SGM Tactical Magazines

IMG_6433

Kevin Phillips, who is in the photo above, brought out SGM’s latest products. SGM Tactical contracts with a South Korean military manufacturing facility to make their magazines. Right now they offer happy sticks in 9mm and .45acp. They will be making standard capacity magazines as well as hi-cap .40 s&w 26rd happy sticks. Standard capacity mags will be $14.99

Their latest project is for Vepr firearms. They are making a Vepr 7.62x54R 20rd mag that is double stack to single stack. You can see Kevin holding the production sample in his hands. The magazine will retail for $49.99

SGM is also working on a 4.5lbs Vepr 12ga 25rd drum. MSRP $99.95. At the moment it is not fully operational. The clock spring is too weak so it turns the Vepr 12 into a bolt action shotgun. They are waiting for a clock spring fix. Once that is fixed they will make a 20rd mag. There is no need to fit the drum to gun. However, it will not hold the bolt open on the last round.

The drum dummy round followers are removable to service and replace.

SGM is hoping to have the drum released in December the earliest. If not then by SHOT SHOW 2016. The VEPR 54R mag will come out after the drum.

Makes only seinse with a bulky rimmed round like 12 gauge shells. Look at all that empty space in the drum.

    sweet more garbage commercial mags.

I don’t suppose these will actually fit without having to file edges off the thing.

    Happy sticks?

      Extended pistol mags.

Now, what about double stack 5 and 10 round 54r mags? The great thing about psl/svd mags are that they don’t protrude much, and thus make for a sleeker gun in the woods.
