New Fixed-Blade Knife From Hogue

If you’re looking for a new fixed blade knife to round out your kit, Hogue has you covered. New from Hogue International is the EX-F02, a knife with a fixed blade crafted of A2 tool steel. According to the company the knife was designed for durability and versatility.

The EX-F02 has a polymer/OverMolded rubber handle and is crafted to ensure a solid grip. The tail of the handle is recessed for use in a reverse grip and it’s also made for good balance in both grip styles. The blade itself, which will be offered in both a clip point and tanto style, is hand sharpened. Hogue took care to heat-treat the blade to RC 57-59, and it’s also cryogenically treated, so it should stand up to a wide variety of tasks.

Hogue co-owner Jim Bruhns had this to say regarding the new knife: “The EX-F02’s light-weight durable design was created specifically with the outdoors-man in mind. We created a concept that takes advantage of Hogue’s precision tool-making and OverMolding expertise.”

The company also designed a polymer sheath to go along with their new knife. The sheath is ambidextrous and, according to Bruhns, it’s unique and such high quality it has “to be seen to be believed.” It’s MOLLE compatible and features auto-retention so the knife stays put until you need it.

MSRP is $149.95. The grip is being offered in four colors: black, OD green, flat dark earth, and hunter orange.
