Magpul Yugo Zhukov-S Stock

yugostock

Magpul recently released a version of their Zhukov-S stock for fixed-stock Yugo AK pattern rifles. It features a hinge block that mounts directly onto the rear of the rifle, most other aftermarket stocks for Yugos require an adapter to be able to fit a standard AK or AR stock. The Zhukov-S Stock folds to the right and has an adjustable comb height via cheek risers. It also features an adjustable length of pull and one-point QD mount. You can also charge and fire the rifle while the stock is folded if you don’t have a cheek riser installed. They’re made in the USA and retail for $99.95 at Magpul.com.

The YUGO Zhukov-S Stock’s hinge block for fixed-stock Yugoslavian pattern rifles allows the user to replace their factory buttstock with this high quality folding polymer replacement. The hinge block mounts directly to the unique rear interface of Yugo pattern rifles with the included hardware providing a very robust fit.
A no-compromise folding stock for the modern AK, the Zhukov-S Stock folds to the right, has adjustable comb height for optics use via optional cheek risers, is adjustable for length-of-pull without tools, and features an angled rubber butt pad for easy shoulder transition and slip-free performance. An included one-point QD mount at the receiver, optional QD mounting points at the rear of the stock provides multiple sling attachment options.

Made in U.S.A.

    This is nice to see.

  • Zang Kang King

This is interesting, wonder if it will work on the m77 308?

    • Dracon1201

It should, stock adapter is the same. You’ll have a slight gap at the bottom, hopefully that doesn’t bother you

    • Giolli Joker

That thumbhole is sexy as it is.

      • Zang Kang King

        No

      • CavScout

Nothing done for import regulation sakes can be sexy. Should be a crime.

Best AK stock just got better!
Yugo brothers, you’ve just been vibrated from a terrible selection of stocks.

    • G0rdon_Fr33man

As far as ergonomics go, the Magpul are surely a good option, but as a folder, the original M70 underfolder has it beat in usability and simplicity.

  • Wolfgar

I have been waiting for the Magpul solid forged machined lower AK receiver stock. Let’s get on it, pronto!

  • SP mclaughlin

b-b-but the stock folds on the wrong side 🙁

    • USMC03Vet

Wrong. Left folding stock negate superior optic rail and is downright retarded if you ever carry the rifle slung unless you’re a lefty and still negates optic rail use.

      • SP mclaughlin

True, there’s a big issue with the safety being covered this way though.

        • andrey kireev

Well, it’s not like you gonna be fighting with your stock closed…and if you are, might as well leave it off safety and not chamber the round. Chambering one will take you just as long as disengaging safety anyways.

Holy Smeg! Thanks Magpul! Now if only they would release an AK MOE handguard for the yugo. Incidentally, what handguard is in that picture, Manticore?

    • ostiariusalpha

      It’s a Midwest Industries. They’re very nice.

      • Phillip Shen

Thanks, it looks pretty sleek. Once I get tired of the wood and cheek slap, I’ll probably upgrade to the Zhukov + MI handguard.

What about the original 10 rd single stack Zastava PAP w thumbhole stock, which has a different trunion or something like that…. ??? I got my Dad one for his 60th bday back in 2010 and would love to add this stock! If it would work that is, thanks!
