Sightmark Introduces New Pistol Scope

Sightmark 02

Sightmark recently released a new scope for handguns. The Core SX 4×32 Pistol Scope is specifically designed for dangerous game hunting with .40 – .50 caliber handguns. It is rated at being able to withstand recoil of 800 g (gravitational force, not grams.)

According to the company, the scope has a fine tapered duplex reticle. The fixed magnification scope uses a 1” tube and multi-coated glass. Eye relief is listed as up to 17”. The scope is IP66 rated, meaning it is both dust and weatherproof.

Our range used to carry “Sightmark” optics as a less expensive alternative to ACOG’s and Aimpoints, but after returning every single one of them for defects, I have to come to the conclusion that everything this company pumps out in the PRC is five cent garbage. They have a long way to go. Buy twenty cheap scopes over the course of a few years or buy one good one that lasts a few years.

    • Laserbait

My good 20 year old Leupold M8-4x has lived through thousands of 44 Mag and 454 Casull rounds with nary a hitch.

Don’t be “That Guy” that puts a $5 chinese optic on your $900+ Ruger or S&W. It’s foolish to waste money like that.

  • THAT guy

I can’t even see a scope in the picture because the only thing my eyes are drawn to is his god awful shooting stance.

      Also introducing Sightmark Stance ™

    • Joe

It’s because every single person Ive seen using a sightmark on their guns the last 2 years while working at a shooting range has had an equally screwed up stance, grip, firearm selection, (DPMS, KEL TEC, HI POINT)

  • Bear The Grizzly

You’re telling me a $120 msrp scope can resist 50 cal handgun shock? There has to be an asterisk somewhere in there saying it’s only for one time use.

  • Dracon1201

    That shooting stance tho.

    • TheNotoriousIUD

Did you even see the shirt hes wearing?
      He knows what hes doing.

      • JumpIf NotZero

No eye pro, ear too, button down casual-camo… Might as well own it with a clown stance.

        • TheNotoriousIUD

Maybe Zoolander was on his way to a Kentucky wedding and stopped to ventilate some Al Qaedas.

          • Bill

            cough…cough….I’ve got the Black Lung…..

I think its also a HDR photo with way too much effects added.

          • TheNotoriousIUD

Yeah, its an ad so whatever.

      • Vitsaus

Looks like they photo-shopped him into that background.

        • Edeco

Maybe in the original pic he was peeking around a corner

      • Dracon1201

Definitely a pro. Seems only slightly less proficient than Rick from the Walking Dead.

  • Don Ward

    Perfect for Road Warrior cosplay.

  • Will

Who on earth taught THIS guy how to shoot??????
Everything about this picture makes me cringe!!!

  • gunhead

Also introducing, the ugliest garment ever to sear itself into human eyeballs. Dear god.
