New MPA BA SF Chassis

MasterPiece Arms announced the new MPA BA SF Chassis: a side folding rifle chassis designed for more than a dozen different actions. According to MasterPiece Arms, the chassis “…provides a world class chassis and v-bedding system that aids in increasing accuracy capabilities while adding tactical features to a rifle.”

The chassis is machined 6061 aluminum with a V-bedding system and a variety of features to make the system adaptable to shooter and mission requirements. Some of the features include:

  • buttstock adjustable for length of pull and cheek height
  • built in rear monopod with gross and fine adjustments
  • lower Picatinny rail
  • optional side rails
  • A2-style pistol grip

What they want 1k for that, yeah I’ll pass on that.

Their 5.56 semi-auto rifles are <$1K and they're best known for their MAC pistol cones, but they want $1025 for an aluminum chassis? Lol

      M56 SmartGat?

AKA how to make a perfectly good MG42 awkward.

The prop gun was designed around a steady cam mount as well.

    Dat level tho..

Yea, I like the idea but the I don’t think it’s in the best spot. Doing long range low light shooting if the level is above the scope you need very very little ambient light to see it, with this, probably wouldn’t at all. But I like the idea.

Mount a tiny LED light over it. 😉

A2 grip on a precision rifle, may as well skip the whole thing. No good for putting pad on trigger.

Too bad there aren’t any replacement options readily available.

Having looked at other chassis thingies, it is actually reasonably priced. I never really got into the chassis game so I never knew they were that expensive.

With this being a new design, I’m surprised the stock doesn’t fold to the right. That way the stock isn’t sticking out one way and the bolt on the other. Just heps streamline it more for the pack or case. I figured everyone was going this route from now on. Won’t lie… MPA isn’t known for their precision rifles. Interesting they’re going that route, but maybe not quite there yet for someone that wants to ‘buy once.’ I’ve never used an MPA firearm though.
