SilencerCo “MAXIM VICE” Product Announcement Event

Ever since last year’s notable Salvo 12 product announcement, my SilencerCo sources have been hyping up whatever will be announced on September 14th. I received an exclusive invitation in the mail which was a fun cardboard “TV” of sorts. TFB readers will hear all about it first on September 14th when I report out on site.

It came with these cardboard pieces which slide into a slot- and a special plastic “screen” animates the drawings.

But on to the more interesting part. What do you think they will be announcing?

The “Maxim Vice” theme is a play off “Miami Vice” which originally made me think Russian, and then AK-47. But AK-47 cans already exist so I think that’s off the table. The father of silencers, Hiram Maxim, is more what they’re probably going for. With SilencerCo’s mention of “Announcing Maxim Vice: SilencerCo Takes it to the Limit” – if we take this literally then they might be breaking through some sort of technical limitation. But they’ve already got pistol, rifle, and shotgun cans. The Salvo was a breakthrough innovation for shotguns so perhaps they’re announcing a riff on that product?

The product demo is going to be on a private boat in international waters (I’m on a boat!) so thinking about safety restrictions, I think that limits our options to a shotgun-related suppressor product. However, what could be the brand new accessory that warrants such a big celebration?

I can’t wait to see what “Maxim Vice” is going to be. Share your thoughts, hopes, and dreams in the comments below.
