I’m mentioned it before, and I will mention it again, I am generally a fan of Strike Industries and the products they come out with.  They definitely offer an affordable way to customize your rifle and give it a distinctive look.

Well, they are now offering a replacement Forward Assist button.  I know, I know, some of you are thinking “Yawn! Who cares it is a forward assist…”.  And sure, it is one of the least useful components of the AR (IMO; hopefully no one is rolling over in their grave), unless it has been adapted for other usage like in the Cobalt Kinetics BAMF.

While this doesn’t change the mechanics of the gun, I do think it dresses up that boring little rounded button.  And for $16 it is not really that expensive of a mod.

One of the other less obvious benefits of Strike Industries’ components is that it can get you comfortable doing some minor cosmetic (and mechanical) modifications to your rifle.  If you’ve never swapped out your safety selector, that might be an intimidating task.  Same with the forward assist.  Most everything they have can be installed (by the owner) after trolling YouTube for a tutorial video or two.
