The Comp-Tac Cavalry Has Arrived

Comp-Tac Cavalry

Comp-Tac introduced a new holster called the Cavalry. The rig is an inside the waistband holster that uses a hybrid design. Unlike some of the other hybrid rigs on the market, this holster is specifically designed for subcompact pistols.

According to Comp-Tac, the Cavalry offers:

  • Holster Footprint Designed for Pocket Pistol Sized Firearms
  • Comfortable Leather Backing
  • All Kydex Shell for Smooth, Fast Draw and Easy Re-holster
  • Tension Screw for Retention Adjustment
  • Cant and Ride Depth Adjustability
  • Durable Nylon Clips Provide Secure Hold While Gentle on Belts and Clothes
  • Left and Right Handed Models Available

โ€œMany customers who carry everyday prefer a smaller, easier-to-hide handgun,” said Comp Tac General Manager Gordon Carrell. “However, many hybrid holsters are so large that it defeats the purpose of a small handgun.ย  The Cavalry has a smaller, more compact leather backing that allows discrete, comfortable carry.”

The MSRP is $44.99/

Still a huge piece inside ones pants, this could be much smaller imho.

I don’t mind the hybrid style of holster personally, maybe I am just more comfortable with something huge in my pants.

      • Nokloss

I have room for something huge as well, but only for one huge thing at the time, you know…

Then you should be fine using a holster like this seeing as it would be the only huge thing in your pants.

Wonder if they’re gonna come out with a BG380 version. I usually carry mine as a BUG in my back pocket but I’d like to have a nice IWB option for the few times I don’t….

    • nova3930

I asked and the answer I got is no they currently have no plans for one…

  • Dinkum_Thinkum

Nice. I made one just like this for my CM9 by reducing all of the dimensions of my Comptac Minitaur by about 20%.

This looks interesting. Does anyone know if they make one to fit a Colt Defender ? Has anyone used one with a Defender? I’ve been carrying concealed for more years than I wish to remember and usually just stick my pistol in my rear waistband ! It’s hard to break old habits but something comfortable would be welcomed.

I went to their web site, which says: The Cavalry Holster is made for the most popular pocket pistol
sized pistols: Glock, Sig Sauer and Kahr. Please select your pistol from
the Make and Model drop down menu.
BUT, the drop down menu has no Kahrs, instead having the Kimber Solo, the Ruger LC9, plus the Sig 938/238, and the Glock 43 only. Five guns. Disappointing.

        THANX…. !
