How To: Make Your Own Revolver Blowgun

If it wasn’t so absurdly cool, this would just be absurd. YouTube user SpecificLove has posted up a detailed how-to video on creating a PVC-based revolving cylinder blowgun. The PVC design has enough power to pop a balloon with darts or “pierce an apple from a short distance away.” That said, I suspect this could be a multi-shot spitball gun in no-time.

The build list is primarily PVC with a bit of adhesive (hot glue will work) and has a total build time of about an hour letting hot-glue cool. The user also has instructions for creating darts (if spitballs are not for you) in another video.

    Description from Video:

This is a very cool Blowgun Revolver that I designed to reduce the time it takes to fire a normal blowgun. It is made almost entirely of PVC with a couple exceptions. It can pop balloons and pierce an apple from a short distance away. The darts are reusable and will last many shots if you take care of them.

Blowguns have been around for thousands of years and are still used in some areas of the world. Some of the larger versions have been known to kill rabbits and other similar game. Some native cultures also used natural poisons found in their environment to take down even larger animals.

Be very careful with this toy, it can be very dangerous, so please do not shoot at anyone or yourself.
Just remember that PVC is only a form of hard plastic. It can and will break if too much weight or force is applied and injuries can occur. Please use caution when using anything made from PVC.
