John sent us a photo of his Zastava PAP M85NP pistol chambered in 5.56x45mm. He has outfitted the PAP with a Hogue grip, Midwest Yugo Hand Guard, Magpul AFG2 Angled Rail and a sightmark combo laser/holo-graphic sight.

Being a fan of short barreled rifles, I was critical of the pistol-rifle craze when it first started, but since then I have grown fond of them. I don’t think they are a replacement for short-barreled carbines in the field, when a stock is required, but they are a lot of fun at the range and in a very close range situation, like the home, it would be hard to argue that any attacker is not going to come out a lot worse off.
