Has anyone ever tried making a Kydex magazine-style holster for an EpiPen? Or is this a stupid idea? If it isn’t and you want to try making one, head over to (no affiliation, that just who I buy from) and grab some Kydex, Thermal Foam, Kydex drill bit, eyelets,ย eyelet punch tool and a belt clip. I am sure there are good tutorials on Youtube.

  • Sianmink

No off-weapon light? (I’m toting an olight S10R right now, nice!) No multitool? No handcuff key? What’s the matter with you?

    • Grindstone50k

No paracord or firestarter? Notebook and space pen? RF-blocking wallet? $300 key ring for four keys?
      Bro, do you even EDC?

      • Vitsaus

No potassium Iodide pills, water purification tablets, signalling mirror, red smoke cannisters, or gas mask? Guy must live in rural Switzerland.

        • Andrew Hobby

No Geiger counter, FIM-92 MANPAD, Electro-optical counterintelligence/counter-surveillance kit, or Hello Kitty doll?

          PFF, noob.

  • iksnilol

I must admit, I like those brass knuckles? Are there any brass knuckles made out of carbon fiber or something that won’t trip metal detectors?

    I am… uh… asking for a friend.

    • Swarf

Seriously. I have a friend like that, too. He would love to have the ability to defend himself even *gasp* in an airport.

If they would just re-lift the idiotic pocket knife ban I- I mean my friend would not feel the need to circumvent the security theater of the TSA.

      • iksnilol

Well, the dream thing for my friend would be a SAK made out of carbon fiber. Something like the Handyman only made out of carbon fiber. Though I am unsure if screws and whatnot can be made out of the stuff.

I wasn’t really thinking of airports. I have been in other places where there’s metal detectors. Though it would be extremely useful in an airport.

        • Swarf

Does SAK mean Swiss Army Knife?

You want a carbon fiber corkscrew?

          • iksnilol

SAK means Swiss Army Knife, indeed.

Also, yes, I have a wine problem that needs to be taken care of… subtly.

          • Ajax

Man, I tell you, I would buy one….to help open a friends wine bottle…..and to open any of my friends letters that he might receive on a plane.

          • Grindstone50k

My nail clippers double as an assault rifle. That’s why I’m not allowed to take them on the plane.

          • iksnilol

I am weird like that, I actually open letters with the corkscrew.

      • Madcap_Magician

I don’t always fight people inside the security zone of an airport, but when I do, I prefer a cane or umbrella to carbon fiber knuckles.

    • FourString

Hell, we got tupperware for nearly all service pistols nowadays, so hey brass knuckles, why not!! C’est la vie!

      • iksnilol

Sadly we don’t have plastic pistols at this point in history. No Glock 7 yet ๐Ÿ™

        • FourString

If we’re going down that road, might as well ask John Malkovich for his

  • TheNotoriousIUD

I think the Glock makes the knuckles redundant.
    Arent those illegal anyway?

    • sean

self defense doesn’t always need to result in a dead body. Some states allow them with a concealed weapons permit.

      • TheNotoriousIUD

Haha, yeah maybe but where im from brass knuckles are not known primarily as a defensive weapon.

    • Grindstone50k

I’d rather have a good blade than those clunky useless things. Of course, if it came down to a brawl, things went terribly wrong.

  • Fred Johnson

Just looking at those hex knuckles makes my hand bleed. Sharp edges are everywhere, even for the user.

    • Swarf

New from BudK products: The Finger Extruder!

      Yes, they’re dumb!

No, they don’t work as well as the centuries old design!

But they’re tactical! And you want one.

      • Fred Johnson

        LOL !

  • Sianmink

I’ve seen pistols on that site, they’re just not terribly common. When they show up, nobody makes a big deal about it.

    • Grindstone50k

I don’t recall if it was that site or another EDC showcase site, but there would always be somebody (usually European) who would post something like “you need to use a pistol in *OCCUPATION*??? How dangerous!!”

    • NotoriousAPP

I remember seeing them as well but it’s been a very long time since I’ve seen one.

  • They post them regularly, it’s just that CCW is not synonymous with EDC. Toting around 1-3lbs of steel, lead, and plastic is still a statistically uncommon occurrence, especially when international EDC’ers are thrown into the mix.

  • USMC03Vet

I didn’t think I would find something more retarded than unboxing videos but I did and it’s that site. I lost it when there was a picture of some huge cologne bottle.

4th photo in, Carbon Fiber Magnetic Credit Card Holder. Wouldn’t the magnets ruin all your credit cards?

  • GunKnowItAll

    Ed Hardy T-Shirt included?

  • David

Looking for a source for those “brass” knuckles.
