Sintercore, the veteran-owned business responsible for the first commercially-available 3D-printed muzzle brake, among other items, is coming out with something new: a 3D-printed magazine extension for the Glock 43. The mag extension is called the 3DPlus2 and was designed in a collaborative effort with Eric Mutchler, the man behind the Solid Concepts 1911, the first 3D-printed metal handgun in the world. As the name implies, the 3DPlus2 adds two more rounds to the Glock 43’s factory magazine, so you’re given both a pinkie extension and a bit more ammo. It’s being produced in carbon-filled nylon, which is not only durable but stronger than the pistol’s factory magazines, according to the company. The design is ergonomically correct, so the shooter’s grip continues naturally, and it’s easy to install. There are no screws or fasteners needed; the 3DPlus2 simply snaps into place, working with the gun’s factory spring. Removal is also easy thanks to a hole in the bottom of the extension, which allows for compression of the spring.
