Emdom USA’s Universal Pistol Pouch

Emdom USA has released their Universal Pistol Magazine Pouch. Designed along a similar vein as the venerable HSGI Taco, the Universal Pistol Magazine Pouch uses shock-cord to allow the magazine to expand and contract based on the size of its contents. The UPMP is enclosed a bit more and I personally enjoy the ability to accept just about any magazine and the bevvy of other common combat gear including multi-tools, flashlights, etc.

Those interested can hit up Emdom’s website. MSRP is $21.99 for most colors and MultiCam for the usual small up-charge ($22.99).

Video from Emdom USA below:

Details (from Emdom’s Website):

  • Approximate dimensions: 3.5” tall x 1.75” wide x 1.5” thick
  • Approximate weight: 1 oz.
  • One short MALICE clip included.
  • MOLLE/PALS compatible.
  • Mounting platform composed of three rows of 7/8” wide webbing.
  • Mountable to webbing or belts up to 2.75” wide.
  • Will accommodate nearly any pistol magazine.
  • Will carry most multi-tools, knives, and flashlights
  • Primary retention comes from compression of the sides of the pouch.
  • Interior of sides lined with hypalon.
  • One level of elastic cord retention.
  • Elastic cord is adjustable and user replaceable.
  • Foam insert in mounting platform creates standoff of inserted magazine.
  • Fixed pouch opening.
  • Opening does not collapse and stays open.
  • Pouch is flexible and will compress when empty.

Still prefer a ALICE 9mm pouch to this.

The military issued one that flops around when you run and falls off when you’re shooting prone? Yeah those are great. ///sarcasm///

Emdom makes great stuff. I wear a set of their suspenders with my duty belt. They look good and they help evenly distribute the weight of my gear so there’s not so much strain on my lower back.
