Why is this not a folding stock?

    • thei3ug

Because they already released the folding AK stock.

      • Vitsaus

        Burn.

    • MR

We get it, it doesn’t need a buffer tube. Not everything has to fold. My Mosin Nagant stock works just fine without folding.

  • Bear The Grizzly

Warning, this is only a joke, comrades.

“The new is the enemy of the good…”

    • mechamaster

Well, for some AK dust cover rail, I think I’m agree… but for other parts ( buttstock, railed handguard, muzzle brake / flash hider ) I tolerance that.

      • Bear The Grizzly

Yeah without trying to open up the proverbial can o worms a railed dust cover can be done, zenit apparently makes a great one, but it’s expensive for no good reason and it’s just plain hard to do. I’m told the reason the galil works so well is because the dust cover was designed to be super tight while the AK has too much wiggle, but I’m sure everyone knew all that and I’m just talking to myself 🙂

        • Steve Truffer

its expensive because the whole thing is machined, and mounts in the handguard, rather than being a block spot welded to a dust cover.

“but it’s expensive for no good reason and it’s just plain hard to do”

          Care to re-examine that?

  • ghost

Is there a place to put the beer?

    • Hooray for Captain Spaulding

I’m sure you mean vodka, tovarich

      • Zugunder

Ha-ha! Seriously though, I love beer more than vodka.

        • Dan

          To the gulags with you!

  • MrDakka

    Hopefully this’ll work for WASR-10s

  • Dracon1201

Have these actually been released, or are we still waiting on this vaporware?

    • Timothy G. Yan

My review will be up shortly.

    • Jeff Smith

My local shops have had them for several months now.

    • Suds77

Do you not have Google? The Magpul Ak stuff has been out for a while and to a mixed bag. Fitment issues and QC complaints. Naturally the Whaaaaat, Meeaaah Magpul caveman nonsense will follow my reply. Magpul brand Magpul stocks are the only Magpul product worth buying.

      • Dracon1201

I’m talking about the MOE triangle stock. The Zhukov has been out, but last I heard it was still a while for the MOE.

      • Of course there are fitting issues. You’re putting them on Kalashnikovs – there are often fitting issues with various OEM furniture.

A most of the Magpul stuff in general is pretty good, but different people may or may not like a particular item. Personally, and with ARs, I find their MOE pistol grip and AFG2 to be the most comfortable of any I’ve tried, and love most of their stocks. The snap together short rail cover segments are versatile, and the mags are excellent (although I prefer Lancers). About half of their stocks are great.

  • Spyco

Will this hold up if used on a Saiga 12?

    • All the Raindrops

yeah, magpul stuff is strong. zukhov handguard is like a brick house.

      • MR

Zukhov is like a Brick. Hayyyouse. It’s mighty, mighty, lettin’ it all hang out…

Sorry, that song was on the radio last night, got stuck in my head.

  • kalash

    Looks cheesy and cheap.

  • Anon. E Maus

If they made variants which would fit on Yugoslavian/Serbian AK rifles, that would be fantastic.

  • Guido FL

Hmmm Mother Russia is now supplying tactical AK’s to it’s special forces and that will soon dribble down to all ranks with the new approved AK’s coming from the factories.

If you only have one AK I guess you are facing hard choices ?
