“Grip Key” Kydex Key Holder

In the last few years since the gun world discovered the use of kydex to make holsters the popularity of this material has spawned many uses. Whether it’s a holster, knife sheath, gun mounts etcetera we continue to see more and more inventive uses of kydex.

The GRIP-KEY company makes keyholders for just about any size keys a person could have. Using standard .08 Kydex the company makes a number of standard GRIP-KEY key holders with various art work applied. The standard size is 4 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. The “Mini” is 3 1/2 inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide. The prices start at $25.00 for the standard designs with custom holders running $40.00. They weigh less than two ounces. Each GRIP-KEY can be conveniently carried with the black metal clip attached to each GRIP-KEY. This is one handy item to carry all those keys we all seem to carry around.

      To be fair, I have a hard time identifying keys with my current key rings.

      I have a super primitive version of this for my work keys and keeping track is pretty easy (I have 20ish keys on mine), but you can get blanks in a multitude of colors as well. I like that it makes my key ring feel “monolithic” in my pocket and mine fits a standard Leatherman sheath perfectly. But it offers zero practical advantages over a ring if you don’t mind the jiggling.

    I have one of these. It holds my keys and truck key nicely. I recommend these to every one. Glad to see this up on the TFB.
