Musical Targets: Mary Had a Little Lamb (VIDEO)

I’ve been waiting many moons to get my hands on a set of Musical Targets and I finally received them and built a homemade stand. The Musical Targets system is a set of steel plates cut thusly so that each plate emits a musical tone when shot. I received a two octave set which allows me to shoot in C and G Major, since I have an F#. They are considering adding more sharps and flats but this is a great start.

In my first song, Mary Had a Little Lamb, I’m just warming up and plan to shoot more complex songs in the future. Also, I think the Musical Targets system is a great way to get more kids involved in the shooting sports since I found that shooting songs is a really fun challenge.

In this short video I’m shooting a Volquartsen Superlite 10/22, Leupold Deltapoint red dot scope, and .22LR ammo by Winchester. If you have any song requests, please leave them in the comments!

Then that begs for “Silent Night” to be played, especially at the holidays.

The hard challenge will be playing songs by the band of Rush.

      *In before “Stairway …..”

Hahaha, i saw what you did there — a little trick editing on that last note! I don’t blame you, it must have sucked to get all the way through and miss on the last shot!

  • TheNotoriousIUD

Shot through the heart and you’re too blame…

  • Budogunner

Truly awesome, original content with a well made video. This is what I love to see here at TFB.

Get out the .44, and turn it up to 11.

That could make for some interesting stages:

“Cross the vehicle, take out only the orange targets, play the first first 8 measures of Beethoven’s 5th…”
