SilencerCo Releases Piston Kit for Most Calibers

As an unabashed suppressor lover, I have really enjoyed seeing SilencerCo grow rapidly. They have done so through savvy marketing – but more importantly creating products people really want. Latest in my “must buy” list is their piston kit that covers the gamut of popular calibers and thread pitches.

The kits would save an end-user a whopping $170 going from $100/piston individually to $329 for the whole group. The kit is available now from SilencerCo and even comes with a nifty case.

Ever wondered which pistons you should purchase to provide the greatest host compatibility for your Osprey or Octane?  SilencerCo has removed the guesswork with the introduction of the limited-edition Piston Kit.

The Piston Kit features five pistons with a black nitride finish for increased wear-resistance and lubricity.  What’s more, you’re receiving five pistons for the price of four – with three o-ring packs also included free of charge.

This is pretty cool. Looks like they have a Nitride finish now, that can only help. Also gives you an incentive to buy more hosts.

“Lubricity”… one learns a new term every day, it seems. 🙂

    Ode to the beautiful.

And what do these pistons do?

    • AlDeLarge

They allow semi-auto pistols to cycle properly.

I have two threaded barrels, one in 14×1 LH, the other in 5/8×24 RH, both very common sizes. And none of those cans will fit. Are these only pistol cans, or what?

    • AlDeLarge

They’re piston kits to allow the barrels on recoil operated pistols to initiate cycling with minimal additional mass from the silencer.
