Ergo Grip, Now in Graphite Grey!

Graphite Grey

This is the year of the grey–it seems like everything is getting a “grey” make over.  Ergo Grip has released a number of their rail covers in “Graphite Grey”.  They have versions for Picatinny, KeyMod and M-LOK.

I am a huge fan of the WedgeLok covers (in KeyMod for my rifle).  Overall, I wasn’t sure what I thought of the grey until I saw the contrast of a cover installed on a picatinny rail.  The two tone was pretty distinctive–at least until everyone does it… 🙂

I am a fan of most of Ergo Grip’s products and run a number of them on my rifle (and I am even more supportive since they are a local New Mexico business).  If you are looking for some grey accents for your rifle, give them a try.

Is it a match to Magpul stealth gray?

    • Ergo

that is the million dollar question.

    • Otm Shooter

I doubt MP would be giving out recipes to their colors though. I would imagine its close. Maybe Ergo will release furniture in grey to match their rail covers…

      • pun&gun

I would assume likewise, but I think Magpul actually has Ergo make their ladder covers.

Everybody knows Magpul colors are ITAR regulated.

      • Bill

I didn’t know that. The idea of colors being regulated is sort of weird, but then I’ve spent too much time and money comparing Pantone chips.

  • Vitsaus

I wonder what fabulous colors will be in next season.

    • Under the Bridge

I heard from Claymore that next season’s color will be PINK or MUDDY GIRL.

      • Grindstone50k

We need more women! Women like pink! Make guns pink! Women will love it!

  • TDog

I remember when people used to complain about gray and how ugly it was. “It makes it look like a toy!” It HAD to be black and people would come up with all sorts of ways to dye their AUG’s and HK’s something – anything – other than gray.

But call it “tactical” or “stealth” and folks can’t get enough of it…

    • Vitsuas

Its a troubling sign that firearms are becoming fashion and that people are looking at them not as tools, not as implements of liberty and civilization, but as fads and toys. The mindset is important, and if its just one more frivolous trend for the masses to grow tired of then its not good for the cause of freedom. Guns should not go the way of Disco.

      • Anonymoose

Can’t be a Gray Man unless all your guns are gray, though.

        Por que no las dos?

Why can’t I have my Scary Black Rifle(tm) and my Party Glitterbomb Rifle?

  • Bill

I dont recall complaints about gray, other than what the correct spelling should be. It shouldn’t be a fad, as a proper gray can be a truly neutral color that doesn’t clash with colors normally found in the environment. Black is arguably one of the worst colors for kit, even at night, as true black is rarely found in any quantity, and users wind up looking like guys wearing and carrying black stuff. Even plain, non-camo gray stands out far less than plain, non-camo black.

If you look at videos and photos from GW1 and the early days of the Long Wars, you saw a lot of troops in camo of various effectiveness, their locations completely given away by black boots and black long guns.

But those look pretty dark – the photographer in me says it should be 18% gray.

Take it toms not doing any more ammo price updates

    • Doc Rader

Sorry. I’ve been super slammed–this is my busy season teaching, and the ammo article takes a good chunk of time weekly. I should be resuming it in the next couple of weeks or so… 🙂
