Winchester seems to be busy releasing their turkey shotguns in new patterns, and right in the heart of spring turkey season. First it was their SX3 Long Beard and now it’s their SX3 NWTF Cantilever Turkey shotgun. It’s certainly true, turkeys have far better vision than they do a sense of smell, so staying hidden is a key part of bagging a gobbler, whether you hunt from a blind, park yourself against a tree, or spot-and-stalk.

The SX3 NWTF Cantilever Turkey shotgun is a semi-auto featuring Winchester’s Active Valve system. As a gas autoloader the shotgun is billed as having a softer recoil and greater accuracy than many others. In addition it comes with a TruGlo fiber-optic front sight and adjustable rear sights, and the cantilever mount means you can put optics on it – if you wish – with ease. Considering it’s a model backed by the NWTF it really comes as no surprise it has a variety of features to help you get that tom you’ve always wanted.

This season the gun will now be available in Mossy Oak Break-Up Country, which is a fairly new pattern that seems to be gaining popularity rather quickly.
