Aimpoint Micro T-2 Now Shipping

I’ve received word that the Aimpoint Micro T-2 is now shipping in volume, and should be available through most of the typical distributors by now.

The Micro T-2 was announced in mid-2014 and shown at the 2015 SHOT Show (see Timothy Yan’s article here.) The sight was slated for delivery in fall of 2014, however, there were reports of problems with shipping in any sizable quantity. That appears to have been fixed.

The T-2 offers a number of features that shooters may be interested in. Among them are:

  • Advanced optical lenses for even better light transmission
  • Front Flip-up lens cover is included
  • Transparent rear Flip-up lens cover is included
  • Reinforced protection of the turrets for even greater ruggedness
  • Ideal for rifles, carbines, shotguns, submachine guns, and handguns
  • Weight 3.7 oz. (105g) including mount, sight only 3.0 oz. (84g)
  • 1X (non-magnifying) parallax free optic
  • Compatible with all generations of Night Vision Devices (NVD)
  • 1 Off position, 4 night vision compatible settings and 8 daylight settings – one extra bright for use with laser protection glasses or in bright desert sunlight
  • Integral Picatinny-style base allows easy attachment to any rail
  • ACET technology allows 50,000 hours (over 5 years) of constant operation with one battery
  • Available in 2 MOA dot size
  • Hard anodized non-reflective finish
  • Submersible to 80 feet (25 meters)
  • Use as a standalone sight or piggybacked on larger magnifying, thermal, or night vision optics
  • Unlimited field of view
  • Parallax-free and unlimited eye relief
  • Unaffected by extreme weather conditions
  • Rugged, durable construction
  • No hazardous materials
  • No laser emission that could be harmful to your eyes
  • Mechanical switch for speed and reliability
  • Increased aiming confidence

    I’m seeing ~ $700 on the interweb.

      Aaaand I’m out.

Yep, as dandy as it appears to be, my need is not that great. Plus, for 700, I expect a hazardous material or two… Cadmium plated screws maybe.

Thanks. TFB has a hard time finding the $ sign on their keyboards lately.

This would be cool when paired with the D-Evo.

Now shipping? I’ve had one in-hand since 11/19/2014.

I was told by Aimpoint that they only had about 200 or so limited production in the USA before SHOT 2015. The press release meant they now have it in full production.

Gotcha. Got mine from LaRue. Of course, knowing my luck, there will probably be some recall of all of the early models, haha.

Thanks Richard for the plug! Perfect timing too, I have a write-up will be up tomorrow on an alternative, could say a lower budget competitor, to the T-2.

Sparc II at $155 street price is hard to beat

Uhh… I’ve had an Aimpoint T-2 since December, and they’ve been available from LaRue for quite a while before then. I haven’t seen many people with it, but it’s not like it hasn’t been available in a decent quantity before now.
