UTG/Leapers announced they are now selling an AR-style stock with adapter for stamped AK-style rifles. The kit includes an aluminum extension tube with a permanently attached stamped AK receiver adapter. The adjustable stock has six different length adjustments.

According to UTG, the stock improves the center-bore alignment, provides an “optimum cheek weld height” and improves overall “weapon handling ergonomics.” The stock is available in black only. It weighs in at 14 ounces, or about 0.06 stone.

God, the fit in that last photo is horrible! You’d think the people staging these could at least have it installed right. If it fits like that normally, I wouldn’t touch it with a 39 1/2 foot pole.

      Have you met UTG?

        AIRSOFT!

Seriously? You are mentioning stone? Bloody stone but not kilograms!?

Baffling, truly baffling. I am not even mad though, even if ounces still confuse me since there are different types of ounces.

    • Porty1119

      I have a feeling that that was a joke…

Maybe, but it’s the second article in a few days featuring “stones” as a unit of weight… I understand that an American based blog has to use the units of measure most commonly used in USA, but if there’s the effort to do a conversion, let’s make it useful for the other readers (that happen to live in the rest of the world).

        • Vitsaus

Most of the rest of the world can’t even have the kind of guns that are on this blog.

          • Giolli Joker

            So?

      • iksnilol

        It wasn’t.

If you are going to do conversions then why convert to something that is even less used? I mean, stone is only used in Great Britain and Ireland.

  • Vitsaus

20 bucks more and you’ve got the Vltor. No reason for this to exist except some people insist on intentionally buying junk.

    • Keeps Taurus in business.

    UTG… lol
AR Buffer tube stock on an AK… lol
Cheap CAR style at that… lol
Same price as the Magpul AK stock… lol

Ah… good one but April 1st is Wednesday.

    • Jared Vynn

Magpul stock is fixed, the utg is not; you are making an apples and oranges comparison.

      • Texas-Roll-Over

you’re right it is collapsible and a folder!

        • Jared Vynn

No that is the other magpul stock that costs $100. The moe ak stock is fixed and goes for $60, the zhukov is a collapsible and folding.

  • Vitsaus

I admit, its been a long time since I bought mine, but 32 bucks is still just a matter of skipping maybe 2-3 trips to a burger joint.
