Leapers Introduces 6-Position .308 AR Receiver Extension

If you fancy a .308 AR carbine with an adjustable six-position stock, Leapers UTG has just released a product aimed right at you. From the press release:

When building the perfect .308 platform, many components steal the limelight, such as front and rear sights, handguard rail systems, or fancy muzzle devices. It’s almost easy to forget that some of the less flashy components are absolutely essential when creating an accurate 30 caliber powerhouse. One of those essentials is the common six position extension tube. We can assure you that the newly released UTG PRO 6-position extension tube is everything but common.

Manufactured in Michigan, USA, we take great pride in ensuring that our 6 position .308 extension tubes provide the most reliable performance for your .308 platform. The Ability to turn an A2 style rifle into a tactical high power carbine appeals to many a shooter, and adds additional value and versatility to an already universal platform. TLU002 is made from 6061 T6 Aluminum and hardcoat anodized in black for superior wear resistance. Thousands of rounds of live fire through these extension tubes gives us the confidence to recommend them for your next .308 project, regardless if you are a hunter, soldier, police officer or competition shooter. MSRP: $24.97

Leapers/UTG has been on the forefront of developing major accessory options for .308 AR platforms and is rapidly gaining a reputation for being the “go to” for all things 308. Some of our great USA made options include our A2 style stock (RB-T308FB), and the 13″ super slim handguard solutions for various .308’s on the market (MTU020SSA, MTU020SSB and MTU020SSC), just to name a few. We will also be releasing our new 15″.308 free float Keymod compatible rails shortly (MTU026SSKA & MTU026SSKB). Stay tuned for regular updates and see for yourself why our motto is “The Best Never Rest”.

I think the collapsing buttstock is an option any rifle user should take a look at. Even for traditional marksmanship, I’ve found the collapsing butt helps me get into better positions in standing, prone, and sitting. Collapsing buttstocks are definitely not just for those looking for a handier rifle.
