Italian manufacturer Iron Armi displayed the Iron Competition 12/76 shotgun at the recent IWA Outdoor Classics show in Germany. This 12-gauge, semi-automatic shotgun was purpose built for competition sports, and was built in partnership with Toni System.

The most obvious thing about this gas operated gun is the striking blue color. However, there are a number of design improvements on this gun when compared to previous competition guns made by Iron Armi.

    Blue anodizing like that always takes me back to 90’s streetrods and ATVs.

    Loading port is cool, but it’s really too bad they didn’t use an Benelli-style action. I’m guessing it’s much more akin to an 1100/1187.

    Interesting decision to extend the mag past the barrel. I imagine it must be heavy as the dickens when fully loaded

      Except for my m1 s90, all my shotguns get set up like that and I’m not a gamer. It allows me to rest the gun muzzle down without it touching the muzzle. A 3 day defensive shotgun class will make you find all sorts of opportunities to rest. It’s also a natural standoff should you be breaching a door or gate.
