TacCon Releases the “241” Trigger System

241-trigger

Having been teasing it for some time, TacCon has formally released details on their 241 trigger system. An interesting play on words, the trigger keeps the characteristic three settings, this time opting for an immediate assisted-reset mode and the second being a two-stage “ultra-precise” trigger with a 3.5 lbs take-up and 1 lbs break.

Sounds great for 3-gunners and you bet we will ask for one for review. Two-for-one indeed.

Pricing has not been announced, but prospective owners can sign-up for pre-orders on their site for 10% off.

Details From TacCon below:

Tac-Con™ USA is proud to release the 241 Trigger for the AR-15.

We’ve heard the needs of our customers and Tac-Con has combined its blazing-fast 3MR assisted-reset technology with a precision two-stage trigger, providing you the ultimate all in one, simple, drop-in replacement system.

    AK version?

    • sauerquint

I doubt the AK selector could be made to work. Do they sell very many of their “AK-47 Raptor Trigger” at “Price: $349.00”? Would it even be worth the effort for another inevitably more expensive one? It’s hard to imagine an AK owner springing for one.

      • Xanderbach

Considering the Tapco G2 is $30, and actually quite good… That’s hard competition to go against.

        • sianmink

I was surprised, especially after a simple polish job.

That said, there’d be a lot of demand for a drop-in AK trigger under $150, I think. The normal ones are a pain and a half to install.

  • allannon

I’m mildly interested. Very mildly…the KFC mild of interested.

  • Bob Jones

God that hipster music was an awful choice. Otherwise a great concept.

  • Liqourish

I’m guessing that 241 is also the price.

    • raz-0

That’d be a massive discount seeing as the previous version launched at something stupid like $499.99 and is now $395.

  • John Davis

“Release”….. I don’t think that word means what you think it means.

    • uisconfruzed

      “you killed my father, prepare…”

“NEVER get involved in a land war in Asia…”

THAT… and In Search of the Holy Grail are the cult classic films.

          • Phillip Cooper

Never heard of a film called “In Search of the Holy Grail”.

Do you by chance mean “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”?

  • KestrelBike

Eagerly awaiting the hordes of dummies writing the ATF to ask if this trigger is illegal so the ATF can feel compelled to write a letter 😛

    • AK™

Can we use it in “full auto mode” while shouldering our SIG braces Mr ATF Man?

      /s

      • Drew Coleman

“Can we use it in “full auto mode” with a Sig Brace on my shoulder and some steel tipped bullets, Mr. ATF?”

        • Mystick

Only on Mondays and Thursdays, during odd months. When it’s sunny outside.

    • Phillip Cooper

… and, after the BATF has written said letter, they’ll change their minds willy-nilly and make felons of honest folks. Again.

    • Judas Priest

      Don’t jinx it!

  • Mr. FN

    I’ll give them this.

Both they and I love Office Space and despise printers that suck.

  • Rusty Shackleford

Looking at all those nice, new, fully-loaded trucks I can now understand why the prices are what they are for tac-con.

    • Phillip Cooper

      Jealousy sucks, no?

  • patrickiv

That’s a cool idea. Are there any other products out there that utilize the full-auto safety position?

  • G0rdon_Fr33man

    Most useless promo-video ever.

  • uisconfruzed

That’s a very tacti-cool ad for body armor and Chevy as well.

  • Mystick

So, this isn’t a “drop-in” mod, but one that would require either a lower with the selector-stop supporting the “full” range of motion, or modification to an existing lower to remove the “semi-stop”, adding a “full-stop”…

  • Cymond

I like the concept of a dual-purpose trigger, I really do. However, there was a rumor a while back that Geissele was working on a 2-position trigger. If that’s true, I’d really like to see what he comes up with. If true, it will probably cost less than Tac-Con’s offering, too.

  • QuM3

What a DF video,, I learned absolutely nothing about the 241 trigger during this fluff vest, and the music sucked.
Yes I want to buy a 241,, but show us the SCIENCE not action Jackson crap.

  • uisconfruzed

Relax, I typed it in and that movie came up that I’d never heard of. I thought it was funny.
I was referencing Python, laugh a little

    • Phillip Cooper

      Well then, in that case…

Well played, sir. Full marks… 🙂
