Fighter Design LLC is now offering their 6 pack and 12 pack Texas Mag Bags separately from their original offering, which included the SureFire magazines. The bags are designed specifically for SureFire 60 round magazines, but it has been reported in comments that the bags will hold twice the number of regular 30-round magazines.

The 6 and 12 pack bags are available for purchase at Fighter Design USA for $89.50 and $99.50, respectively.

Yep, I’m definitely immigrating to Texas.

    • Eh, shop around a bit first. If you’d prefer better gun laws consider Arizona. If you want the famous inflated sense of self-worth, stick with Texas.

Don’t forget anti-vaxers and an absurdly religious school board

      • Vitsaus

Hey, be fair, you have to overcompensate when you got where you are by forming an insurrection against a sovereign country that invited you over, offered you super cheap land and citizenship, then violated your “rights” by outlawing slavery.

Also don’t forget the part about drowning in debt afterwards and begging anyone who will to bail (see: buy) them out.

        But…..Texas allows automatics…….

  • Happy Texas Independence Day people.
Unusual that we would post this up on this very day!

$100 for a “tactical” bag? Really?

    • Grindstone50k

If you own a dozen 60rd Surefiremags, I’m sure $100 for a neat bag is nothing.

      • Bill

I wonder what a dozen loaded 60 round mags weigh? Are there really that many zombies?

  • While everything is bigger in Texas, I think that if I ever get this green card thing started, Arizona will be my destination of choice.

I didn’t like the rain and the boring cold (not snowy, but not nice either) anyway.

And to get back on topic, I want one of these bags. Mags included. And an AR-15. And [laundry ‘Dear Santa’ list of guns to acquire once in the US]…

    • iksnilol

You can get the 12 mag version with mags for 1500 USD (not a typo, those 60 rounders ain’t cheap).

“Everything is bigger in Texas”. That’s a Skoal can imprint on the back pocket, not a condom.

  • Bill

When they announced this would be available without the mags I budgeted $30.00 for it. Guess I’ll just buy a couple more mags and keep using a rubbermaid tote, and the wine bottle carriers I get free at the grocery store.

  • Bill

I’m debating going that route, but really, do magazines need a specialized storage case? How have I survived this long? At least a hard case will protect the bodies from dents and the feed lips.

    • Do you *need* it? Probably not. I leave them full loaded in this case though and they stay protected really well. Also makes them really easy to take out, pop the top off my pmag and throw it in. It’s nice knowing I always have a case of mags loaded and ready to go, so I just grab the box on my way out to my car. It’s easy and for $20 it’s worth it to me.

Also it looks cool, and Bill, that’s 90% of the battle right there. =)

      • Bill

And if you wear Oakleys, that makes you 107% more cool anyway, so you could be pushing near 200% coolness.

If I can find one at that price, I’ll likely do it, at least for my duty mags.

Now I just need a scheme for painting in those little PMag dots…I already have them all labeled by type of round.

        • Bill,
While I’ve never achieved 200% coolness, the quest is on.

Also, for painting the pmag dots, I use XTreme Durability nail polish. Any overpaint is easy to wipe up. You can apply with a brush, or if you’re not a surgeon you can also use a tooth pick to drop paint in.

The Xtreme brand makes it so you look tough when you’re at the checkout counter.

  • Nothing wrong with an “Over the Top” mag bag!
