This may just be the best looking rifle at SHOT this year. Would anyone be able to comment on the optic?

    • Patrick Selfridge

I prefer function over form, hopefully Armalite nailed both……..As for the optic, Aimpoint Comp M4S.

  • Jack Morris

    Any word on MSRP?

  • Dracon1201

    8.8Lbs?
    GLORIOUS!

You could probably shed more weight off the rifle with a different forearm and stock. Add lightening cuts and Keymod attachment points down the length of the rail would shed some ounces as well.

Yep, nothing like controllability and getting beaten up by the recoil of the 7.62x51mm in a 6 pound rifle. My first AR-10A1 weighed around 6.75 pounds and though I don’t find the .300 Win Mag’s recoil in an 8 pound Parker-Hale bolt action all that objectionable, I just didn’t like getting beat-up by that Armalite particularly over a bench. But I suppose if you’re running an adrenaline high in a real firefight, you probably wouldn’t notice the cheek bruising recoil.

        Just sayin’.

  • Amsdorf

    Definite like.

    And the price is?

  • corey

What is the specified accuracy and suggested retail price? If sub MOA this could give Larue some serious competition.

  • Carter Wood

armalite is taking orders at $1799.99

    • YEEHAWMAN

direct or is there a dealer?

      • Carter Wood

what I read that was from armalite’s web site.

Finally it looks like a Armalite is actually stepping up their game for the first time in many years they’ve actually take in the initiative yto do something different I am very sure that they will make lots of money off this rifle .

Why aren’t 30 round .308 magazines more common?

    • Tom

      Because they are huge.
