Korth, maker of fine revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, has just released a video showcasing its new “Sky Marshal” 9mm Luger revolver. The revolver is set up as a personal defense weapon, with a side-mounted 1913 rail and, very oddly, speedloader capability:

I am not in touch enough with European preferences to know if there is a market for something like this over there, however I think the market is very limited in the US. It is, however, very neat, and though its addition is ugly, I think the side-mounted Picatinny rail is a good position for mounting lights and lasers within reach of the index finger.
