Blog Of The Month: December 2014

For December’s BoTM, we’ll be stepping a little bit outside of our comfort zone. If you’re like me, small arms is one interest of several (though by far the biggest), and just like discovering or finding out more about rare or unique firearms excites you, so too does learning about interesting tanks, jets, helicopters, rockets, and spacecraft.

If that sounds familiar, then Armory Exotic is the blog for you. It certainly does cover small arms – rare and unusual ones, too, but it also covers other related subjects, like aviation, ground vehicles, and even human spaceflight.

The site is written entirely in Russian (though Alexander himself is Ukranian), so machine translation is necessary for those of us who are hopelessly monolingual. Even so, the writing is clear enough to survive automatic translation very well, and I can’t recall ever having much trouble figuring it out.

For its small arms coverage alone, Armory Exotic would make our Blog of The Month, but the wider variety of topics featured there, plus the site being over three years old, gives the site extra depth and ensures hours of reading.
