In Part 1 during my Oakley HQ visit, I was shown the type of tests they put their lenses through so customers see crisp, clear images and an explanation why you can wear them all day without your eyes getting fatigued. Personally, I thought it was really insightful since I had never heard lens technology explained in any manner.
But now here in Part 2 is something we can all easily understand – Oakley putting their lenses through some high and low velocity stress tests. A metal ball hurled at over 100 mph and a one pound spike dropped from 4 feet are two tests shown here, along with a quick peek at the material they use to make lenses.
