MagPul SGA Adapted for the M1A/M14 EBR Chassis by Sage International

Sage International is now offering a new configuration of its Enhanced Battle Rifle (EBR) chassis system. Meant for those in restricted-states or those who abhor pistol grips on rifles, Sage now offers an adapter that adapts their EBR chassis to the MagPul SGA shotgun stock system.

Sage currently has models available for the M14 (small/medium & heavy), M1 Garand (Mil-Spec barrels only), and Mini-14. They do not have a set yet available for the M-1 Carbine EBR.

Pricing for the SGA versions is not formally published, but I would expect it to be similar to existing EBR chassis (around $800).

  • IMHO, it looks a ton nicer than the ALCS or AR stock versions. Yeah, not as compact… probably a somewhat better cheek weld.

    • Menger40

Agreed, looks a lot more like an M1A should.

  • JumpIf NotZero

Heh, definitely not for me! Someone else can enjoy 14lbs of it sitting in their safe.

IKR? Does anyone make a M1A stock that makes the rifle lighter?

  • akim h lettner

nice but how well will the stock take the recoil!

    • Grindstone50k

      The stock is from shotguns…

  • Madcap_Magician

That looks like a verrrrrrry long reach to the trigger. You can tell it’s a shotgun stock because it’s proportioned for a Mossberg or Remington where the trigger assembly is right next to the stock attachment point rather than the M14 where it’s an inch or two ahead of the equivalent point.

    • Don’t forget that the retractable portion of the original EBR stock was taken from Sage’s unit for the Remington 870 and 1100.

  • d_grey

The stock…..really doesn’t suit the chassis….looks really weird.

  • Havok

Good luck on the cheek weld.

  • Anonymoose

    Absolutely disgusting.

  • Grindstone50k

Ehh, no. It doesn’t look like much thought went into that idea at all.

  • Giolli Joker

    …and its name is? 🙂

  • MacK

I snap my fingers and a 20lbs SOCOM Scount appears!
