Winchester Ammunition announced the expansion of the Train & Defend line of ammo at the 2014 National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers show in Little Rock, Arkansas. The new loads will be for the .45 ACP.
The Train & Defend line matches the recoil and trajectory of practice ammo to a hollow point designed for self-defense. The concept is to provide an affordable way to practice while learning the exact characteristics of the carry load.
The new rounds will use a 230 grain bullet with a stated muzzle velocity of 850 fps. These loads should be available in January of 2015. Click here to read Phil White’s take on the lineĀ from the 2014 SHOT Show.
