Winchester Collectible Ammo Box with 200 Rounds of 45 ACP

BF-Win1911.5

Winchester recently came out with a new collectible gift box with 200 rounds of 45 acp ammo inside. This is a really good gift idea for birthdays, Christmas or just because. It will certainly make a 1911 shooter happy!

The all wood collectible box contains two 50 round boxes of flat nosed 230 grn. match ammo in the WIN 1911 line. The other two 50 round boxes are 230 grn. WIN 1911 personal protection ammo. Both types are loaded in nickel cases. That’s a pretty good combination to go with that new pistol you’ve been asking for all year when Santa comes calling.

Seriously though it’s an easy to find gift that any 45 acp shooter would like. The street price is running about $140.00.

I want this for Christmas. Once iv shot all the ammo inside ill screw on some hinges and turn it into a cigar box.

    • Good idea that would make a good cigar box. The top actually slides back and forth so you wouldn’t even need hinges. Just install some hydration and you’re good.

Or you could go out and get a really cool cigar box….like the ones the stores throw away after they empty…and then put bullets in it for free?

        • I’ve been buying old fancy cigar boxes for years. Some of the older ones are made from good wood and have nice finishes.

I also restore 100 year old(and older) straight razors. I line the cigar boxes with felt over a shaped bottom so the razors don’t touch. Nothing like shaving with an old straight razor with a 6/8th inch blade. http://straightrazorplace.com/

Ammo for my 1911as a Christmas gift???
Oh, Santa, I have been a VERY, VERY good boy this year.

I was hoping for a P320 in .45ACP for Christmas, and this would go with it very nicely.

Eh, over-priced gimmick. But there’s a market for it.

Is it collectible just because they said so, or…?

  • Don Ward

It would be better if it were 30-30.

I love boxes like this. You can use them to store all kinds of loose ends, like scope rings, grips, magazines, or maybe just a whole mess of .22 LR ammo.

nice, I would prefer it to any other
