Battlecomp 51.0 – Suppressor Compatible

Battlecomp has released the long-awaited suppressor compatible 51.0 Battlecomp compensator. Their latest iteration includes thread and ratchet cuts for 51T AAC-style suppressors, making it immediately compatible with AAC and SilencerCo can.

The new 51.0 is currently for sale on BattleComp’s website for $180 for the introductory run. MSRP of the compensator after the first tun is stated to be $196.

Details from Battlecomp:

The BattleComp 51.0 is a one-piece unit manufactured from 17-4PH Stainless Steel. The 51.0 will integrate with those suppressors using an AAC 51T-style interface.

This suppressor variant is only available in 5.56 caliber at the moment.  The BC51.0 comes with a Black Oxide finish only.  100% made in the USA.

More models to follow.

I remember when the linear comp craze was in full bore that AAC was asked if they would make one. They said no, reason being irrc, that they were not confident the side walls of the silencer would hold up. Similarly, I remember seeing the same thing from KAC about their triple tap on older KAC suppressors.

Now, I’m not exactly sure how a comp adds more sidewall pressure than a large two port brake. But I suppose they had their reasons.

I also think they missed the boat here. No one actually believes battlecomps claims right?!

Yep, they should first address the issue raised in the test on Vuurwapen Blog (that seems to be offline now 🙁 ).

After seeing the objective testing on Vuurwapen, I started to realize that all of BattleComp’s claims are more snakeoil than science.
