30 lbs of Tannerite vs 70’s Bronco

We have seen excessive amounts of binary explosive used for entertainment and destructive purposes. Like the barn video. There was also Funker Tactical’s youtube record breaking 300lbs of binary explosive.

So I found it rather impressive how much damage only 30lbs can do.

  • Don’t mean to be a nag

I’m all for having fun with Tannerite, but folks posting your explosive exploits online is a sure way to get the attention of those who’d like to see this banned. It’s designed to be used as a shot indicator. Try that out

    • Dan

I think it indicated his shot pretty well. I do get what you’re saying though.

Gasoline is marketed as engine fuel, but people can still use it to set things on fire (including their own possessions) and even cause harm to the user. That doesn’t mean gasoline should be banned because it can be used for purposes other than its intended purposes. If someone was really bent on using explosives for something nefarious banning Tannerite probably wouldn’t stop them.

      • Leonard

Its not about nefarious people existing, as they do and always will. Its about the ease of access to making destructive devices. Look at all the ridiculous rules the BATF enforces for tiny little sears or mfg of simple baffles. They take it seriously, and anyone who’s ever been caught in their crosshairs know this. Anybody with a decent mechanical background could engineer a grenade out of tannerite, IED’s ect. Antics like this video will only help to get it banned sooner, or alarm some busy body politician to save more children through legislative acts. Shit like this happens ALL THE FUCKING TIME, it’s not that hard to fathom.

Then let them bring it, and we will fight it. Until then, continue using legal items in a legal manner on your property where you are not harming anyone.

  • M.M.D.C.

Dude, you coulda parted that out.

  • gunslinger

    and boom goes the dynamite.

  • worldwideREB

on a scale of 0 to America how free are you? 🙂

    • BryanS

Dunno, how long does it take to get approval on a hearing protection device from the feds?

  • JumpIf NotZero

Awesome out of breathe fat American (bonus for 80s mustache) Does something illegal on YouTube! How cool?

How many assholes doing shit they shouldn’t be on YouTube before we get an ATF or an EO banning the commercial sale of or possession of tannerite? Stop being idiots.

    • Phil Hsueh

      You mean, out of breath.

Anyway, I agree. People need to cool it with these tannerite videos. Use for it blow things up for kicks but just don’t film and post it online so it doesn’t get attention of the ATF and/or some idiot politician.

  • mosinman

shame they didn’t use a Smart car or Prius

    • BryanS

Why? Both of those is a sturdy car. Hell, the Smart would just lose body panels. Little things are tough.

      • mosinman

  • Deej S

  • rik

Im seriously just waiting for the day i read the following:

“In other news today, senators from california, new york and colorado have proposed a bill banning the sale and possession of binary explosives such as tannerite. The bill might be a moot point though, as BATFE is apparently reconsidering its stance on binary explosives due to political pressure from Washington over the fear that such a compound could be used in a terrorist attack. All of this was sparked over a youtube video of a man blowing up his ford bronco that was seen by…”

STOP FILMING giant tannerite explosions and putting it on youtube! Batfe doesnt play by the rules, they make their own and we all have to suffer the consequences.

  • Secundius
