Aimpoint announced a new red-dot type sight for the AR-platform rifle. Called the Aimpoint Carbine Optic, or ACO, the sight uses a 2 MOA dot and comes with a fixed height mount to allow for co-witnessing with backup sights.

The ACO is waterproof and is said to run for a full year in a constant on mode on a single 1/3N battery. The MSRP on the ACO is $393, and the optic should be available at most of the Aimpoint dealers by the end of October.
