MGI Glock

MG Industries (MGI) is now selling a 9mm Hydra rifle that uses standard Glock magazines. The Hydra, or MARCK-15, rifle is designed to easily convert – without tools – between calibers using swapable barrels and magazine wells.

This specific version of the gun comes with a 16″ barrel and weighs about 7.6 lbs. Versions in .40 S&W and .45 ACP that take Glock magazines will also be available. These rifles have an MSRP of $1,299. Various state compliant versions are also available at an additional cost.

So, gun plus sbs, plus suppressor, plus bumpfire stock, plus 33rnd mags? 2.5 grand, i’m in.

Maybe if it was an 8inch barrel pistol so you could throw a brace on it.

  • Does it lock the bolt open after the last round is fired? Lone Wolf sells a lower that accepts Glock magazines, but the bolt catch is manually-operated only.

I spoke with the guys from MGI back in January. They were saying that they already had this in development then but that they had issues to work out with the BHO. I hope they didn’t give up on it and release it as is.

Neat but a bit too pricey for the current market imo.

It looks like Quarter Circle 10 made the sub-carbine the right way, supposedly what Glock was trying to do. All calibers, too.
